United Colours of Buccaneer
Bulgin's renowned range of Buccaneer waterproof connectors are now available with coloured contact inserts for easy identification.
A small change, but one that will greatly enhance the usefulness of these connectors. These will be particularly valuable where it is critical to identify the correct connector. This could be for a number of reasons; for ease of maintenance, assembly during production or to limit the potential for accidental cross connection by the end user.
With an otherwise black connector the coloured contact insert and matching cable gland nut give a quick and easy method of identification, whether the connectors are mated or unmated. On a panel containing a number of similar connectors this can be invaluable.
The following colours are available: black, blue, green, grey, light grey, red, white and yellow.
The specification of the Standard Buccaneer connector itself remains unchanged. Dust and waterproof to IP68, with a choice of 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9 and 25 poles, the connectors are rated from 10A, 250V ac, to 1A, 50V ac. Five body styles provide a wide choice of configurations, each available with either plug or socket contacts. Overall diameter is 38mm and the connectors carry approvals from UL, CSA and VDE.
